My name is Bo Lackey. I'm a late 40's guy who is just trying to discover who I am and why I do the things I do. But hey, isn't that what we're all doing?
I have spent the majority of my adult life in service to others. I'm a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and had a career of almost 25 years in law enforcement and investigations.
I am an endurance athlete, having finished numerous triathlons, races, and other events including GORUCK Challenges, half iron distance races, Chicago Marathon, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, and America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride (100 miles around Lake Tahoe). I am a three time Ironman with finishes in Ironman Wisconsin in 2011, Ironman Louisville in 2015 and Ironman Chattanooga in 2016. I also am an utramarathoner with two 50K finishes and a 50 mile finish. I enjoy Obstacle Course Races (OCR) such as Tough Mudder and Spartan.
I make my living now as the Head Coach at Orangetheory Fitness Mobile. I'm a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, as well as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
I'm also a yogi. I teach yoga at Synergy Yoga and Pilates in Mobile, Alabama. I find that by adding the practice of yoga to my life on and off the mat I am a happier person and it allows me to experience every moment.
It is my hope to use this site to combine the yogi and endurance athlete in me and chronicle my life and training.
After spending 25 years "keeping the peace", it's now time to focus on "keeping the inner peace".
